RUST – an installation by Louise Manzon

From 2 April to 17 May 2015 on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, the Giorgio Cini Foundation houses the exhibition RUST with sculptures by Louise Manzon.

The site-specific installation RUST explores some of the artist’s favourite creative themes: colourful fish sculptures with sinuous balanced profiles, elegantly springing out of the water, from the Arctic Sea, from the Mediterranean sea, from the Indian and the Pacific Ocean. They are made of glazed ceramic, but they are perfectly shaped as to seem real creatures in an aquarium suspended in the air.
